Best carry pistol IMHO is the Kel-Tec .380. Plenty of punch for short range, and only weighs 7 ounces. You can carry it in a jacket pocket and it isn't obvious that you're carrying.

Went with daughter to look at a couple pickups from private parties- she said the more expensive one was 5 grand, how should she handle the payment? "Take as many hundreds as you're willing to spend." She took 50 hundreds and I took my pistol, just for fun, because you never know what you'll run into. Didn't tell her about that until we got home. Showed it to her- first reaction- "Is that real?" (Its part composite material). After assuring her it was and showing her the ammo, second reaction was "I know what I want for Christmas."

Needn't have worried- seller was a retired school administrator, she's a teacher, they had a good discussion. But you just never know.

I have a Ruger LCP .380, which is almost identical to the Kel-Tec. Light and small, but a lot of comfort.

Got to agree about the Kel-Tec .380. Anything in your pocket is lots better than a stone and its so small you'll keep it with you.
