You know you"re in the Nebraska Sandhills when your motel has this sign on every entry door.

I hope no Sandhills residents take offense, I love this part of the state.(I'm in Valentine).

Let me guess. Are you at the Dunes Motel? I love Valentine and have stayed at the Dunes twice while going on up to South Dakota.

I was in Valentine last month... forgot name of the motel, it was close to the big western store.
We really enjoyed exploring the Niobrara River and Valentine NWR. The McKelvie Nat. Forest was neat area, but must be a real place they send foresters when they screw up!!! Never saw a tree worth harvesting!! The types and numbers of birds and wildlife is astonding. The wide open space is most appealing to this easterner. Nebraska is a GREAT state!! But then I was tere between snow storms.

Probably a standard sign on the whole chain of motels.

When I was in Chamberlain SD last month our motel had a fish/game cleaning table out back with a sink and light. My kind of places.

had a similer one when i was down in central texas, walk in the room, and the very first thing was a big sign, "please do not use the good motel bathroom towels to clean guns and boots, we will gladly supply free rags if asked"
