All of my life I've been told not to cut when the grass is wet. I can see if your cutting with a lawn mower but what about bushogging with a tractor? I can see the ovious things like cutting ruts or getting stuck but what would it hurt? My grass(weeds) on my place need cutting bad and its suppose to rain for the next couple of days. I work so my chances to cut is limited. What do you all think about this> Thanks.

I have done it wet because like you don't have time when its dry. It just wont look as good and you may have to cut it sooner because wet grass(weeds)lay flat and your tires will lay it flat. I would do it.

I will only cut when the grass is wet. I don't care what harm it may do, I don't want to stir up dust and pollens.

Farmer chopped rye/vetch in the morning.Had much plugging.I told him to try in the afternoon. No plugging.I never cut wet hay, wait till 10 am.

The pros do it all the time. The landscaper employees don"t get paid unless they are working, even in a light rain.
