I just saw the second ad on Craigslist that I have seen in the last few days that says that, and they appear to be from different sellers. Seems to me that both statements can't be true, but maybe there is a way.

The small print agreement in Craigslist is that you aren't suppose to relist something for a month or so, and only in one area... few people on there have that sort of patience, so they put up an add for the same thing, 2 days apart, different areas, but same pictures and phone number... CL doesn't really police that sort of thing unless someone reports it. It could be a phishing scam unless there's a real phone number. If it's a real number, you do know this, he's desperate to sell it!

Hard to know what they're trying to tell you from that statement.
Maybe it runs good but leaks gas when you shut it off?
I've seen a good number do that.
Of course, they don't need a carb, just a little carb work.
