OT — Floating water pump.

Not much info but an amazing pump; says it is pumping 1 gallon /sec. Looks about right. That leads to a whole bunch of other neat youtube pumps too.
 
yeah, some of those led me to this one...and then off to the next series of videos. Youtube can be a time killer sometimes.


My tangent of the day is getting water out of pond, up about 13' and over about 150't to a tank that I can collect water in and use to water the garden. Wind generated of course.
 
Clever idea if you don't want to build a tower. Looks like it would take a pretty good amount of wind to keep it going though.

For your application I'd expect a normal windmill to work better. I doubt "green" energy is worth the trouble unless you want to go that route for the sport of it.

The only evidence of wind that I see is that little flag fluttering. Apparently it doesn't take much.
