I am sure there are a few opinions out there, and I am trying to make a decision myself.

Looking at the 2013"s, HXP 4x4 21hp water cooled or a TH 6x4 15.5hp air cooled, both gasoline JD Gators.

I didn"t realize the dimensions and capacities are so similar but the HXP is 200 lbs heavier.

Is the real benefit of the 6x4 flotation?

Which would you choose?

I have one, 6X4 that is, and the wife loves it.
I find it handy and the steering isn't as bad as i was expecting. You just have to remember to NOT leave it in the all wheel drive mode. The only time I have needed the all wheel drive was in really, really soft ground and then only till I got out. It carries a nice load and you do need the power tilt for the box.

For what its worth, the hpx has nearly twice the ground speed of the TH. Also that rear suspension is nice. The Th has none. Which ever one you get, DON'T baby it. Both need to get worked good and hard with little to no (within reason) idle time. Nothing more frustrating than gas in the oil because your rings didn't seat.
