It is fine that they use it but they don't clean up after there horses. I have seen them stop in front of a resturant or grosery store and the horse releives himself and they will not even try to clean it up. I know that Viroqua was talking about making them diaper there horses. I don't know how that turned out.

It would give the other customers something appetizing to smell while they are waiting, I suppose. The other potential problem I can see is that if they order a burger the horse might recognize one of his long-lost relatives.

People that are bothered by manure of any variety need to go back to the city.

I'd say it would be fair to ask the Amish to diaper their horses right after we demand people stop throwing their McDonalds bags out the window of the car. The tiny amount of horse manure on the road isn't worth mentioning compared to the trash and beer bottles littering our roads.

For that matter, how many of the farmers here clean up the mud and manure we leave in the road? Not many I'll bet. It's got to be pretty bad before I'll get the scraper out and clean the road. I don't think I'm alone.
