Got to use my and my brothers 1470tk case for the first time
today, pulled a 10ft sheeps foot and a 12ft box scraper hooked
together, I didn't take any pictures unfortunately. We were
using it where my dad is setting up hog buildings, they were
pulling it with a 135hp kubota yesterday, and could only pull it
3.5mph, they laughed at me when I brought the 1470 but I
pulled it a little over 5 mph, and was pulling it deeper. The
guys who usually pull it said they were suprised how it did
because they try and put 250-275hp on it. What do you guys
run on a sheeps foot or box scraper. Hope I get pics tomorow.

I am not sure what you are asking, sometimes you say and, like you are pulling a scraper and a packer, then sometimes you say Or, like one or the other.

A 1470 apparently did well pulling whatever you were pulling. I don't do that type of work so I should have said it earlier, I just farm. A 1470 is a Large tractor so should be able to do what you need it to do.

I pulled a 10ft sheeps foot and 12ft box scraper together, all at
the same time, first time really using a tractor for construction
work for me, usually we just use them for farming.

Here's a picture similar to both, a sheeps foot is a packer. I will try to get pictures tomorrow if I get time.

Ok, I've seen a thing like in the 2nd pic at the landfill packing garbage or something! Thanks for pics.

Yeah, it is suppose to pack the dirt tight, and then the box scraper behind acts like a drag and smoothes it all out.

In all my years in the excavating/earthmoving business, I've never seen or heard of pulling a scraper blade behind a sheepsfoot and can't imagine what good it does. I'm not trying to be a smart azz, just don't see it doing anything but burning fuel.
We always used a Cat 815 or 825 compactor with a blade on it. If we used a pull sheepsfoot there would be a dozer working the dirt as it was dumped.

When you get close to finish grade a blade after the packer takes off the humps as you go, beats the heck out of trying to cut them off with a uni after you reach required compaction. Sure makes a nice surface to grade for laying concrete
