11's are massive machines, we have a large number of them here in the coal mines, these have a bigger u-dozer on them from what I can see in the pic,, nice pic is that in a building? thanks for sharing cnt

Nice pictures! I am guessing that this is at the Edwards demonstration facility? I know Peoria Proving Grounds also has an indoor facility but I can"t remember if they had a glass walk way like that or not. I got a nice tour of PPG last summer and I will probably be back at Edwards sometime this summer.

great shot I need to take some pics of the ones here I think they call these a 3/4 U dozer they will carry around 25 yards or so and you can drop that one and get another and push over 50 yards at a time dang amazing machines

If you have a couple million+ to buy one in the first place, you should have made some good money by the time the undercarriage needs replacing. I don't think anything is cheap on a D11.

The D11 final drive is in use on several Ski Lifts. Gets turned 90 degrees, input shaft upwards. Really good torque capacity for the size and cost!
Also use D8, D9, D10 finals.
Cat sells a lot of drivetrain components to other companies.
