If it doesn't dry out here in Central Illinois there will not be any corn planted to harvest. We got close to 8" in the past 7 days.

John we have had 8 inches in central Indiana this April. Last year a lot of fields were already planted.

I was crowding 10 inches, had another seven tenths over night with a little bit of snow on the ground this morning.

Do you think that guy is no-tilling or headed for another field further back?

Help this Wheat Farmer out. What is he planting? Or is he Spreading something? Is it fall with the shocks still in the field?

It looks to me like he's walking behind a hoe drill. A hoe drill has small shovels in about nine inch spacings with a seed drop right behind the shovel. I would just guess that he's planting a crop like winter wheat or rye.
