I posted yesterday about needing help finding problem with my three point hyd system can anyone tell me where to start looking do I start with pump

Is there a separate lever on those for the scv and rockshaft? Do the scv "s work?
What are you trying to lift with the three point hitch?
Is there enough clean oil in the system?

Since no one else commented, I don't know what a powrtrol is and you did say the oil was good.

If the power steering is run from the system and works that is a clue.

I think I would first put a gauge in the remote circuits and see what you have.

There should be test points in the system but you will need a shop manual most likely to know where they are and what pressures they should be.

I saw this and thought JDSeller and others would comment and still may. I am limiting my comments because I don't know anything specific about your system.

RT (my 2 cents and I hope this helps)

there is sep levers for scv an three point scv does not work either have nothing hooked to tractor there is no action with hitch no noise with pump when you either lever

With the tractor shut off up by the hydraulic pump is a lever about 3 inches long that says "off" and "on" it needs to be turned so the "on" is towards the top this is the hydraulic pump disconnect and is driven off from the governor gear you cannot engage it with the engine running.

I don't know if the twenty series is any different than the double digit series. I had a "60" and you can't run the remote cylinder and the 3-pt at the same time. On the "60", I had to pull the hydraulic fittings out the back and insert a set of "blanks" to activate the rockshaft.

lever is in on position I can even feel when gears mesh i'm thinking pump is not working loosend press line from pump today and got no oil leak

your reason makes sense tractor has been sitting for years I have been thinking pump from the start will take off Monday any tricks I should know

take the lines off and turn it over pull the coil wire frist you will be able see if the gears are turning if not take the pump off and check the gears in the gov there is a small gear between the pump and the gov
