The overdrive shifter is beating me up badly here, have adjusted it by the book and every other way I can think to, I can install quadrant shifter as directed in book have all gears when selected, I can go to the overdrive side and when I shift back to the low side/direct side of transmission I will not have the any of the gears to the left side of the quadrant, the sidling gear shaft pinion gear will not engage into the transmission drive gear, comes up just short of engagement, I can very easily move the gear on into transmission drive gear by hand, I do not see anything bent or excusive ware. Any help here would be appreciated. Thank you, Eric Leslie Juliette, Ga. 478 973 1932

I had same problem with my 730, I put a thick washer on the on the shaft the gear slides on to take up slack on it fixed it no problem since , I think maybe the spacer washer had fallen off,I opened the washer enought to take a hammer and peck in on the shaft it was thight enough it will not come off, this might help it may not good luck.

Eric check out the shift lever there are two balls on it the top one moves the high--low fork if loose in the sockit it will let go of the fork before it makes full travel
