Over the years I've lost a poodle to cancer, recently my wifes old poodle to 'old age', 6 mixed breeds to old age or other maladies, 2 more to being hit by a vehicle (one I watched from less than 20 feet away as he ran past me into the road, not to mention the ones belonging to my grandparents, that I often cared for when growing up. One thing I learned years ago is that when your a dog lover it doesn't matter how many times you experience the grief of a buddy dying, it never gets any easier.|
Lost my old dog this fall.Best darn animal I have ever been around. It about broke my heart. Hang in there the pain will ease up after a while.
Attached is a pic of my new pup. Ignore me I am the not so easy to look at one. When and if you get another don't expect it to be like the old dog was. I have accepted my pup as he is. He is like the one that passed, but different. They are only here with us for a short while, so I try to remeber that.
