Moses, our wonderful dog who worked at the shop as a greeter
died early Sunday morning while his people were asleep where
he has slept since we got him 2 years ago, at the foot of
our bed. He was only 6. He came to us from a local rescue
being a soft coated Wheaton/Sharpei cross and fit right in
to our lives and loved his work. He never met a human or
another dog he didn't like except for the UPS man for some
reason. It didn't matter where he saw a UPS truck he barked
at it. One of the few things he barked at. He was suppose to
get his summer hair cut Monday.

He knew what human words treat, go to work, and bath meant.
I doubt we will ever have another dog that responded to,
"let's take a bath" by going down the hall and waiting by
the tub, then jumping in when I got there. He knew when it
was time to go home also and would pester me if I didn't
agree. He wouldn't drink bowl water if it had floaties in it
and would not eat anything that didn't smell somewhat like
meat. Sometimes a customer would sit in "his" chair in the
waiting area and he would curl up in the chair beside them
and nap. Until the customer got up then he reclaimed his
chair. As mentioned, he didn't like the UPS man and we put a
fence up between the two counters so he couldn't get out
front, that home depot black bar fence with a gate and
latch. Of course, he quickly learned how to open the gate.

We have so many pictures and movies with him in them and for
those we are thankful. Molly and Romeo, our miniature
schnauzers are helping to fill the void but this golden boy
is missed terribly. He had quite a following among our
customers also. We had two customers this morning that had
their dogs with them to play with Moses.

I just wanted to share a small part of him. I know you know
why.

UGH, don't get me started, I lost my little mutt "Brownie" Jan8th, he was "MY" dog, where ever i was he was, if i got in a chair he was on my lap, he slept with wife and I , and had to be up against me,

we got a taco dog my grandma was fostering to fill the void, he is a good dog, had some potty problems, and bolting out the door problems, but he's coming around, he no longer bolts and knows to potty outside 80% of the time. He just needs some extra loving

he's a good dog, but there will never be another Brownie

Guess I don't know how to do pictures now.

Sorry for your loss Russell. These words were sent to me when I lost mine.Hope they help you.

”People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice.

”Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.”

sorry you lost your friend' daughter brought a little yorkie home 3 years ago, said she would take her with her when she got a place of her own, she got the place, told her dog stays with me, little overweight, quite, lays at my feet and sleeps against me at night, dogs are good for people

Sorry for your loss. My dog also knows what bath means.Fighting words to him. Plus he loves to pull up my onions and eat them.

So sorry for the loss of your Moses - what a lovely little guy he was. I lost my Brandy back in Jan. 2012, she had just turned 16. I was very fortunate that she was with me for so many years. I still miss her today, like it was yesterday. Thank you for sharing your memories of Moses. You did a great thing rescueing him and giving him such a wonderful life!

He was a very handsome guy. Sorry for your loss. We used to have 2 cats & 4 dogs, all adopted. We are now down to 2 dogs. Each loss leaves a hole in our hearts, like yours.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Over the years I've lost a poodle to cancer, recently my wifes old poodle to 'old age', 6 mixed breeds to old age or other maladies, 2 more to being hit by a vehicle (one I watched from less than 20 feet away as he ran past me into the road, not to mention the ones belonging to my grandparents, that I often cared for when growing up. One thing I learned years ago is that when your a dog lover it doesn't matter how many times you experience the grief of a buddy dying, it never gets any easier.

Lost my old dog this fall.Best darn animal I have ever been around. It about broke my heart. Hang in there the pain will ease up after a while.
Attached is a pic of my new pup. Ignore me I am the not so easy to look at one. When and if you get another don't expect it to be like the old dog was. I have accepted my pup as he is. He is like the one that passed, but different. They are only here with us for a short while, so I try to remeber that.

Good looking dog!

We have a full Wheaton pup spoke for from a couple on a ranch here is Arizona. He can leave his momma about the 1st of May then my daughter in Phoenix wants to crate train him and house train for a couple weeks.

Haven't decided if I'll let her. They may not want to give up the pup!

Getting a new dog is a lot like christmas. You don't know just what is on the inside but it has to be good!
