Kidron Ohio Auction

I was wondering if anybody else here went to the equipment auction in Kidron, Ohio on Saturday?

That was the first time I went to that one.

Great auction. I'll be bringing more money with me next year.

Got a 6x10 barge box with hoist there a few years ago. Have not been there lately. Nice set up, plenty of help to get loaded out.

my friend got a nice gravity wagon - must have been 15 of them to choose from. Got a good little corn elevator real cheap too.

The wagon took up most of our trailer space, so couldn't really consider anything else.

Lot of stuff I would have liked to bid on, but we live in Mass. (13 hour ride) Didn't want to do two trips, and won't be back out that way for another 6 months.

Any tractors sell? Prices?

Kidron Auction happens 3 times a year. First week in March, First week in April and once in the fall. Lots of mold stuff, but the Amish think their machinery is made of gold.

I only get out there twice a year (horse auction is the other trip) so for me this one will be a yearly event.

I like the old restorable stuff, not out there for "good" equipment.

And like any auction - some crazy buyers, and some fantastic deals. All depends on who"s bidding. That"s what makes them fun.

probably about 10 tractors - most pretty rough.

old case on steel wheels went for 650 - wish I knew the model - but I don't.

Decent condition farmall H went for 850 - thought that was pretty cheap.

Farmall cub lowboy went for 900. Not sure around there, but out here in MA that'd sell for twice that amount.

No surprises with all the others - can't remember details though.

I missed the bidding on a snow plow for a cub - couldn't see what they were bidding on.

Perfect condition - all the parts - sold for $25.00 that one killed me. I can't use it, but could sell it around here for a LOT more than that. Not that I'm really looking to buy and sell - just surprised it went for so little.
