About danged time he went to jail

What, no compassion for the founder of the compassion club?

There are all these "grow" shops popping up around here, claiming indoor gardening supplies.

Toss them all in jail. Sorry but I am not a big advocate for any drugs.

Rick

There's a few dozen more of his cohorts who need to be in a cell next to him. The guy right up the road has a new $30,000 Harley 3 wheeler. I'd bet dollars to donuts where the money for that came from.

Good!

In a larger town around here, they have busted people who will rent a house and then turn it into a "greenhouse". Also people renting motel rooms to make meth. Glad to see them all busted.

There are plenty more to take his place the problem ain't the drug dealers its the drug consumers.Basic economics when there is a market for something someone will come along to supply the market.

Idaho state police here picked up a couple of south of the border types a couple of weeks ago, pulled them over for erratic driving and ended up taking 52 pounds of meth and 27 pounds of coke off the market.

He's out on bail. Probably didn't even spend the night.
We the people voted it legal.
Some folks only get to vote once, and only if they're alive.

These dirtbags took full advantage of the voters good intent as a free license to deal drugs though. I don't know how many people who voted for it would do it again now that they know how their good intent was abused.

You are soooo right TF. The bars and alcahol sales are proof of that. It still kills more every year than all the other drugs combined. AND! The reason it kills more is because it is "THE ACCEPTED DRUG". Legalize the others and they also will become accepted drugs and even more deaths. I have no problem with someone wanting to kill themselves , let them take all they want. When it starts killing the innocent , which it almost always does , then something needs done. How bout this , legalize all of it but you kill or mame someone while using , you get automatic death penalty within 1 yr. You dammage someones property or minor injury , you get 20 yrs. Of course it also means our prisons will have to be reformed back to labor prisons instead of man and woman caves that they are now. Oh , and if it is a minor , then the parents also get a $10,000 fine 1st offense and the fine and year in prison second. Parents don't want to be parents then they are just as much the problem and should pay their share.

Nowadays dollars to donuts ain't the deal it used to be. Pretty soon we'll have to say "donuts to dollars".

I have quite a few MM "patients" around my area.
They planned ahead of time, recruited and voted en mass.
Their pitch was basically that making it legal doesn't hurt you, so why not.
In fact, it will help you, because your tax dollars won't be wasted prosecuting us.
Dealing, or at least using without prosecution was their intent all along.
I guess you could call it organized crime. Or politics. About the same sometimes.
Either side of the aisle. I don't want to start any thing to get this poofed.
I still have to have my ID checked to buy carb cleaner at the store.

Kinda reminds me of the comment by Jon Stewart the other day on the radio commenting how the same group of people want to regulate sugar and legalize marijuana. I"ve been around the stuff when I was much younger (never used it) and see no reason for it unless it is a terminal illness, then as far as I am concerned you can kinda do whatever you want.

Billions of dollars spent trying to stop marihuana (it was legal until the early 30's), and it can be grown in every state of the union and tons come across the borders. Only way to control it is Sharia law type punishment or regulation like alcohol or tabacco. Like it or hate it, that's the way it is. Like TF posted, if there is a buyer with $$, there will be a seller.

Really hope they can make something stick. Kind of like throwing spaghettios at the wall. I raelly have a problem with those "compassion clubs" and the way they"re bending the law. I also have a problem with the law. This guy too...

Cellphones or Drugs..it all comes out the SAME, in Deaths on the highway...
Cellphones and the people who become IDIOTS while driving and using them...

Can't agree on the parents thing. Used to feel the same way, but I've seen too many parents do everything they could and then some and still Junior or Missy is a druggie or drunk or worse. A lot of bad people come from really good families.

The billions of dollars are not just for mj but for cocaine, crack, meth, etc.. I honestly doubt law enforcement is spending lots of time busting mom and pop pot dealers. Nearly all the local busts that make the local paper are for the harder drugs. Also, the "gangsta's" that sell the harder stuff sell pot.
I believe that even if mj were legal a lot of it would go untaxed as pot clients would continue to buy from the black market who would have the other drugs available if wanted plus have the selling advantage of no tax charged. So now you would have to have people out in the field as "revenuers" instead of DEA agents so the tax payer saves very little. 60 minutes did a story a couple of years ago about the comeback of moonshine mainly because the product could be sold cheaper due to no taxes collected among other reasons.

Moonshine is making a comeback for two reasons:

1. The TV show.
2. The slow economy. People are doing what they need to do to survive.

It isn't like moonshine is making a huge dent in the liquor market. My suspicion is that it's less than 1%.

If "mj" were regulated like alcohol, 99%+ of the buying market will shift to the legal sources. Black market would still be illegal, and people would tend to shy away from it simply because they'd go to jail if caught, just like moonshine.

I'll just tell you,if these dirt bags had just layed low, been dealing quietly like they always had been, they probably wouldn't have had a problem. But they've ruined all of their brain cells, don't have the power or reason anymore and had to go overboard. To say they crossed the line is an understatement. They crossed the border with ten people in the trunk!
It wasn't just here locally,I know that from watching the news, and it wasn't even this bunch that got the Attorney Generals office involved, but these clowns around here painted giant bulls eyes on their own backs. They had big plans to turn this area in to the pot capital of the state. They wanted to literally build a commune for dopers on this yo-yo's farm. They harassed local government officials until two townships had to pass strict ordinances to control them. Sidney Township had to go so far as to pass a "nuisance person" ordinance. They ran candidates for township office, showed up at every meeting and candidate forum in the area for several years harassing anybody who would dare oppose them. They sold drugs in the restaurant while families were in there eating, just generally made azzes of themselves.
If the crackdown has caused a hardship for the hand full of people in the state who actually need this stuff for what the law was intended for to help, well, those few people know who they have to thank for skrewing it up.

I've got my doubts. A lot of people relish the outlaw culture that goes with it. I don't think the fear of getting caught is much of a deterrent. Convenience will still be a factor when people walk up the street to see mom and pop versus taking a 15 or 30 minute ride into town to CVS. Truth be told quite a number who use pot most likely will have an itch for something else that will remain illegal so they still wind up going through the black market anyways. Just my opinion.

I don't know what the problem is?(sarcasm) Soon the whole nation will be walking around stoned-LEGALLY. Won't that be a treat? Anybody that thinks it doesn't hurt you long term needs to come to my job and work along side the potheads that grew up in the 70's-80's. They can't remember what they had for lunch today. Now imagine them doing your brakes!
