It shifts into all gears even reverse with out any grinding, can only get it up to about 40 mph,it revs up, just doesn"t seem to engage all the way,it doesn"t smell like any thing is fried, any ideas, thanks

Sounds like it is time for a new clutch and pressure plate. The older ones were adjustable but I don't know about a 93.

Is it mechanical or a hydraulic clutch?

If it's a mechanical clutch what kind of pedal free travel do you have? The pedal should move easily for 3/4" of an inch before any resistance is felt. If you don't have this free play it will slip eventually.

Does the clutch slip if you try to take off in one of the higher gears from a dead stop or does it kill the engine?

Be sure to put a new slave cylinder in while you have it apart or you will have it back apart soon.Murphy's Law.
Check flywheel for blueing and cracks too.

If this truck sits around doesn"t get run
everyday & it was fine the last time you
drove it... I probley had a mouse build
a nest in the clutch housing.. Once you
depress the clutch the nest material flew
out & is caught between the diaphram style
pressure plate so It can"t work.

Not true. I had a 1985 F350 that had a solid front axle for 4x4 and the clutch was mechanical.
