Gave up regular pop (Mt Dew) in July 2005. I was drinking a 12 pack a day easy. Had severe headaches for 2 weeks, after that life was good. Lost 20 pounds over the next 6 months.
I craved the sugar for what seemed about a year.
Started drinking diet Mt. Dew when I quit regular, it didnt give me the same fix.
Quit diet pop 7 weeks ago. Absolutely no craving for it. No headaches, nothing. I have a half of one occasionally to mix with rum. But its weird I dont miss it or crave it.
Not sure what I need to give up next...
