copper-topped kid...long time ago if you follow

All,

I"ve posted some minor items regarding the neighbor kid coming "round here. He"s polite, helpful, and usually hungry.

Well, tonight, he stops by, needing nothing, not hungry, it"s warm out, nothing to do but chat. So it appears that all he wanted was a bit of small banter.

He got that. And some left over Easter candy to share.

Just thought I"d update those that know who I"m talking about.

I sure enjoyed it.

I do not know who you are talking about or anything about you. Having said that, the young man you are referring to sounds like he is fortuante you are available and willing to help/listen. Thank you for doing that. You may be a stablinzing influence on him and you may be making a LIFELONG impression. Keep it up.

Thanks for the update. Glad he us doing well. Probably in some part from the stabilizing effect you have had on his life.
Keep up the good work, no telling how many lives the small things you can do will positively impact.

That's great! Every one of us has had some people in our lives that really made an impact sometime in our lives, glad to hear you are there for him.

That is good news. One never knows exctly how they can infleuence a person's life, sometimes they never know and the results can be years later. It is nice to every once in a while see some yield from seeds of kindness sown.

I welll remember the stories. Didn't he have a brother or a friend with him at times. How old is he now? Time for some shooting lessons?

Dennis,
I have followed your postings on this subject from day one. I think the time and things you are doing with this young fella are absolutely wonderful. People like you are hard to find and teach young people the important things in life. My cap is off to you sir! Thank you for taking time out to do the things you do for this young man. I look forward to reading more about this again. By the way, not that it matters. I live in Southern Minnesota.

I'm not sure that I am as great as your reply suggests, but I do try to instill some regular home-made thinking into these boys ( food, parents, work ). These fellows are nice tohave drop by.

Jwalker,

I did the misdeed of caling this youngster a red-head, seems that some took offense, none intended. So, when I type him in the web-world, I call him copper=top.

He's a kid that has happenned my way, and I hope we're both the better for it. I know I am.

Some lessons were here.

But I stll think him and his brother are visiting for the mountain dews in the fridge.

I do recall when he first showed up and eventualy was givin something to do.
He came to mind a couple of weeks back. Glad to hear he's still coming around.

Dennis MN,

You are making a positive impact on his life... and even the next generation if/when he has children someday.
