I got a Kodak easy share ,had it since Jan, when you turn it on the lens comes out,and goes back in right away and shuts off, I really babied this one too,put it in the pouch it comes with, and didnt beat it up, I thought it would last much longer,It is under warranty, but I wont get it back for quite a while.I have to mail it to kodak, walmart does not warranty it after 15 days but kodak warrantys it for 1 year.

WHAT?!!! That is a bad thing.

Well, we will all be waiting for more pics.

I really like Sony Cybershot. I am on my second one - but I treat them pretty rough. Carry it 24/7 in my purse without a case on it. I'm surprised I have not broken the screen (now watch Mr. Murphy take care of that for me just because I mentioned it).

Mine did that and I had to send it in and they replaced the mother board. it was only 9 months old and they repaired it free. I had to go online and converse with one of their reps before I could send it in. They gave me a confirmation number. They wouldn't repair it without that confirmation number.

Last weekend the camera started doing it again. It went out with the trash this week. New batteries didn't solve the problem.

My one brother says they must program those cameras to only take so many pictures before they shoot craps. I'm beginning to believe him. Makes us have to buy new ones. I won't go with Kodak again.

Hey Larry, we all like your pictures so much you have to let us know ifin it's broke fer good and we will take up a collection fer a new one for ya!

You say yours will not stay on, so this does not apply to you. Many moons ago I had an HP 945. It started doing some weird things, talked to the techy. They had me do a hard shut down-remove battery(s) while it was on. Fixed it right up!

I lost my iPhone 3GS on Saturday, I didn't like the 5 so I got the 4gs, on Monday, so far I love it, way faster than the 3G! I just wish we could post pics right from the phone to this forum!

I have a Canon. It was one month over warranty, but had less than 100 photos taken by it. It kept coming up with error code 5, (I believe, anyway, a common error for Canon cameras) and wouldn't let me take any photos. I had to pay $200, plus shipping to have it fixed. They wouldn't budge. The whole time they kept twisting my arm to "upgrade" to a better camera. (Yea, so they could fix my camera for $2 and resell it for $400)
If I had to do it again, I would get the extended warranty on the POS.

I have the cannon powershot A 560.. found it in a field down is Texas .(Bet that will wake someone up .LOL)..
the only thing I don't like about it is if cloudy or you are doing vids in the shade on a bright day the images have a blue tint

I gave up on a Kodak once. My main issue was the time imprint didn't click over to "PM" until 1:00, instead of 12:00 noon.

The companies I do real estate ispections for monitor the time photos were taken, and with that camera any photo I took over the noon hour would show as being taken between midnight and 1am.

I have several identical Sam Sung cameras. I always carry two when I'm on the road, one for a backup. They've been virually indestructible. I tripped and hit one against a pool table once and knocked the lens cockeyed so it wouldn't retract. I pushed it back straight, it retracted, and I'm still using the camera.

I think with Kodak, you pay extra for the name.

I"ll add a different one to the mix. I have a Fujifilm Finepix A900 I got with credit card points in 2008 (free). Over 800 pictures/videos with no problems, 9 mega pixels and 4x zoom, plus a free computer program called "Fine pix viewer s" to load the pics to your computer and edit etc.
