Hi, I know this is not about tractors,I have a 22 acre hobby farm in Wisconsin and getting sick of the winter"s. I am trying to talk the wife into moving south, I figured Kansas or Missouri would be a good place to buy a hobby farm, you have 3 to 4 season"s and I dont want the hot heat like TX. We would like to be just outside of a 10,000 populated town or smaller and in a farming area.It might sound crazy but we are leaving in a week to go looking in those two states to see what it"s like and check out some town"s and ask about some places for sale and land prices, taxes, tornado"s , employment. The wife"s a CNA and I hobby farm, weld, paint tractor"s but spent 19 years at a cheese plant until it closed 2 year"s ago,my son is graduating in May and both my parents that lived just down the road pasted away in the last year. Winter has lasted so long here, I thought it would be a good time to move this summer. The wife has relation in Houston and I know it"s too hot for us that far down. Anyone have any input on some nice area"s would be great...Thank"s
