Balancer should be alright if rubber is good. Noise might be hyd pump coupler.

+1 If it is, it will quit soon after you start up. A couple of revs of the throttle will aid in getting your answer.

If it is, replacing the rubbers is no big deal; maybe 30 minutes.

I grabbed the coupler and couldn't move it and like I said the noise quit after a short time

I'll still bet the bushings are worn if they haven't been changed lately.

I've only had it for a year no telling if they have ever been changed. I'll take it apart and see. Thanks Bruce

New bushings are round. Worn are often egg-shaped. Had one JD without the lock nuts on the back side (bolts thread into the opposite coupler half.) Make sure you have them.
