Deere with quad tracks

Friend just told me he talked to a higher-up from Deere and he said they are coming out the Quad Tracks. The guy showed him a picture of the prototype on his cell phone. Anyone else caught wind of this? This guy is a realliable source, not a BSer. I am a red guy (mostly before the cream company was involved) but think this is a good thing. I have been hearing for years that CNH is lacking on product quality. I think maybe they had the thinking "We have the QT, they will buy the product just for that." Maybe this will give them the shot in the rear to pick up the game. What do you guys think?

Deere does have some experience with the idea. They have been making the 764 High Speed Dozer for a few years now. It's smaller than I think they would offer for the ag folks but all the same I think it could be possible.

A friend of mine in Holland sent me a picture earlier this year of a John Deere Quad Track at a equiptment show there.

I am a tech for a Deere dealer. Our people have said there is one near release, but I have not seen any pictures. Supposedly it should be coming out in the next year or two, but I've heard that about other machines and they are not always accurate with their time frames.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a Deere endloader with quadtracs somewhere in the Memphis area if I remember right. It was on a truck on I55. A fella I talked to the next day told me there's a company that converts them to quad track. Anybody heard of this? Jim

Haven't heard of it but doubt its too much like the quad trac, case wouldn't let new holland copy there tracks so that's why the "smarttrax" are on the new holland even know there both owned by fiat, something about case has a patent on it and I think the CNH has it figured out, know Deere has good tractors but for all these years Deere said two tracks were better than four and know CNH will criticize them so bad about making one. My opinion anyways.

Here's one someone put the new holland smart tray on it, not the newest series though, think that if Deere comes out with one it will be a tough road since case has years of experience already.

At Mt.Vernon In. There is a shop that will put rubber tracks on anything. Most seem to go on CIH. But I have saw a JD there also. They have tires piled everywhere.

Here is a couple of pictures of the JD 764 high spped dozer. I like the military green on too.

If they are going to bring out a Quad track machine then I bet it will have tracks that look much like these.

There is a Case dealer east of Charlotte NC that had a larger Kubota on the lot with tracks on the rear a few years ago.

To say that CNH is lacking in quality is like saying every Deere is perfect off the line. You wouldn't believe some of the things that get past QC. That said Versatile has launched their delta track...
