Nice pics Charlie. I hear ya, tired of carhartts and muck boots. Only good thing here in MO is that it is wet. Not cussing the rain after what we experienced last summer.

Charlie, Nice looking hay and yes,I'm ready for that time of year as well Question, why are you baling them on the ground? Makes a lot of extra work don't ya think?

We don't keep any till the last cutting English. In the last picture you'll see a man in a yellow shirt. He buys all I cut out of the field and his crew handles all of them.We sold him a little more than 4000 bales last year and I never touch a one.A good friend of mine has a big investment in a accumulator and grapple. What hay I kept last year sold at auction for the same money.Only a 30 acre operation.

Charlie,

I like that your fields are green, but your equipment is blue!

That is a nice quarter turn shoot. I never thought to do that. Did you do that yourself?

We bale onto the ground also. I keep saying that one of these days that will change, but, my father is 71 years old. He says I'm lucky I don't have to pitch loose hay onto the wagon, so, I just do as he says.

How does that quarter turn shoot work on a hill side?

Thanks forteh pictures. I love a good summer story this time of year.

If the crew is picking them up by hand, why the quarter turn chute? Just an extra step for them, having to kick the bale over so they can grab the strings to buck them.

That picture was taken right after I bought that baler. The complete shout wasn't there.
I built this shortly after to cure that problem.
