Old equipment values

I donated 2 0ld high wheel wagons and an old steel wheeled manure spreader to a local museum but have no idea of their value. The wagons had wood flare boxes on them and one of them had an old JD end gate seeder on it. They weren't perfect, but weren't too bad for their ages. The old manure spreader wasn't too bad. I think all the spikes were still in the wood bars of the single beater. You could still make out a painted name on the side of wood box. It read "clover leaf". Would anyone have any idea as to what I should value these items? The museum wouldn't put a value on them. Told me to value them myself. Thanks.

i would say 1000.00 per wagon is in the ball park. the manure spreader might be in the same ball park also without seeing it. on an auction its pretty easy for wagons to sell for that.

If you are looking at tax deduction value you have to fill out a form 8283 for any non cash donation over $500.00. The IRS allows retail price as long as you have an appraisal, nothing complicated, just ask an equipment or antique dealer what they would have asked for the same piece or get an average of 3 like wagons previously sold, should not be hard to find on the internet.
