Our FFA chapter refurbished a 1951 oliver 77 to raffle off this year. The tractor runs good, but still cranks a little slow and dynos at 47hp, so it has been rebuilt at some point in its life.
New Lexington FFA members did all the work themselves with my supervision and I am proud of the job that they did. It is not perfect by any means (slow crank and sheet metal is a little rough), but the students got really involved in this project and with what they have from what they started with.
There are many new parts including both manifolds, battery, rebuilt starter and carburetor and all new tune up parts. In addition, Titan tires donated 4 brand new tires for this project. We purchased 4 new tubes to go along with the tires.
We are raffleing the tractor off next Tuesday, march 19 at our annual banquet, but you don't need to be present to win. I am slow in getting the word out since we finally got the tractor painted this past Wednesday when school was canceled for snow.
