Snow or not it was too nice of a day and I had to get out. Fired up the 'hoe for the first this year and started picking off the log pile and slicing up.

Glad to see that you have a great day there too! It's the same here in eastern NY, not a cloud in the sky. I fired up the grill for lunch. Nice ending to a overcast week.

Man I ain't done with this winter's wood yet.I expect to be done by the middle of May.

Thanks, nice of you to say so. I bought it about 7 or 8 years ago to dig a foundation for a barn addition with the intension of selling it afterwards. Later I realized, as most of you on this site, that I couldn't live without it. It needed a whole lot of TLC to get it running but all the parts were there. Eventually took it down and repainted everything (5 years ago). I beat the snott out of it and it takes everything. I do some serious logging with it and I like to split everything early so it has the whole summer to dry out. When I load logs in the stove in the winter it takes nothing to get them lit.

JF,

What part of CT are you in? Seems like we got quite a bit more snow here in the quiet corner.
