I see a lot of plows on the photo ads for sale. Not just the steel wheel 1,2,or 3 bottoms but the big 5 & 6 bottom plows for sale. Are there people buying these or are they going to the scrap yard if they're not sold, any body know?

Last fall I was selling a big three bottom cat 2 auto reset that was about 25 years old. While researching what to charge, I noted that the old 2-3 bottom cat 1s were bringing nearly the same money.

depends on where you are at, some places they are still in use on a regular basis, some not at all. Around here not used much but it seems like every year you see a little more of them used. Some guys that no till still get them out every 5 years or so in certain fields.

They may not be used in some areas, but up here they still get used every fall. Kverneland is the big name these days and they sell lots of them.

Nobody uses them anymore. Mine have been moved to mow where they're sitting a couple of times a year, but haven't been mounted on a tractor for probably for 10 or 15 years now. Give ya a good price on them.....

don't know about the later model stuff, but the collectible plows are in demand. I'd love to find another Rock Island for our collection.
