Was wondering if anybody a has made a three point disk mower with a 1000rpm pto yet? Any info would be great!

Might try looking at "drum mower" - Most disk mowers are far too big to be carried on a 3pt.

I just checked on the Kuhn website and all of their 3 pt disc mowers even the 10'2" cut model were 540 only RPM drive.

You must be thinking about a mower conditioner as all the disc mowers you see are 3pt how else do you hook them up as they dont have any wheels.

I have my 3 pt disc mower mounted on a caddy. IMHO it's the only way to fly. Back up to hitch,drop pin in the hole then attach pto & hyd hose and off to hay field.

If you replied to my response I'm aware pull type disc cutters are available but iowafarmer20's question was about 3pt models. I owned a Vermeer TM800 several years back.

I have been wondering the same thing. If you could figure out how to change the belt pulley config. you could make it work that way.

Exception: Not all 3 pt disc mowers are belt driven. Krone is one example.

My pottinger disc mower conditioner is a 10 ft'er and can be had with 1000 rpm gear box.

Pottinger is made in Austria I think? They are getting popular in the
US as butterfly mowers, that is one in the front and one like mine
on both sides in the rear. Their rotary rakes and forage
chopper/wagons are quite popular.
I would love to have one of the front mounted ones and the tractor
to run it.

The Krones have optional 1000 rpm just like the Pottinger. I'm sure
others do as well.
