O.T. Excavator Bucket

Hello all,

I know this is not about tractors, but........ I"m in need of a 12" ( pin type) bucket for a Volvo EC55. I could possibly make a 16" work.... Volvo can"t help with locating one and expected shipment are 10 weeks out. If anybody has one laying around let me know how much you want for it. I"m located in NC, but willing to pay freight.

several others brands of buckets will prolly fit that. Check your hole size & distance & see what else fits. Volvo bought out Samsung so some of those buckets may fit.

Surely it would be possible to take a wider bucket and cut it down? Thats what we would do. Half a days work with a gas torch and welder to cut the ends off, trim the centre to width and put the ends back.

I would do a search on the internet for bucket manufactures. Very few excavators up here use factory buckets. I think it's because almost all excavators come from over sea's, except for Cat, so to save on shipping weight they are bought locally.

Check out Central Fabricators, CF. They are up here in WI. They build buckets for everything. Hensley also builds buckets.Jim
