6265 deutz allis tractor

The engines seem to be bullet proof, but like any aircooled engine, its got to be kept clean. The engine side shields have to be removed often and the cyl fins blown clean. Also make sure the valve covers don't leak and let oil get down on the cyls, it stops air from cooling it.

We have one bought it new in 86 or 87 new never had problems with over heating just keep the fins blown out and clean.I use it to square bale and to plant corn years ago a man in the next county had on he used it disk and plant when he traded it had over 12000 hours on it and it still didn't burn any oil and never had to put a clutch in it.

I had a Duetz 6275 and loved it. Just keep the cooling fins clean and the motor will stay cool easily. The whole tractor is really rugged. Only thing is the hydraulic controls are mounted a little low and the tractor is a little clumsy.

There are two great thing about them. 1) They are real easy on fuel and start quick. 2) The operator station is much cooler than the same size JD tractor of that age. Like a JD 2550.

I really liked mine for mowing hay and bush hogging in the summer.

I have had one for 12 years with no problems. Starts good in cold weather, plows all day with out getting hot. Use mainly for haying, good on fuel.
