Thought I would post a pic of what it looked like out my window this mornin. I now know why they have such a hard time with snow here in Mo. and Ks. There were 4 snow plows in the ditch. LOL 3 in Mo. and 1 in Ks. Wonder how they explain that.

Weather man said someone called in and told him you can't "see Jack Squat" out on the road. Weather man said he didn't find anything in his meterology book about Jack Squat but thinks he knows what they meant.

After seeing that picture, I don't miss pushing that Kenworth down the road at all. That was a normal site all winter going down I-80 to RockSprings, sometimes you couldn't even see the overpass or the end of the hood. Keep the greasey side down and the shiney side up. Don't envy you one bit today.

Was talking with one of the town guys about their new plow trucks. He said they have computerized traction control. He said they work by applying the brake on a wheel that's spinning. He said one of the trucks has the tiniest wires going to the wheel sensors, which keep breaking. YIKES!

Jon,
Are your knuckles the same color as the truck? HeHe. I bet with that white color the only thing others can see is the "new Abe" grafics. My cousin rolled in this afternoon for a two day stopover. He just put supper singles on his PB and likes them real well. He is hauling for Landstar at present. Stay safe.

We were offered loads to KS yesterday and declined. You don't make any money trucking at 20 mph. Come to think of it, you don't make much money at any speed.

#1. Lousy truck drivers are the answer.

#2. I learned years ago that I could improve visility by wearing polarized sunglasses. Those glasses reduce the glare off the swirling snow. People thought I was nuts wearing sunglasses in a blizzard - until I had them try it for themselves.

There were a few white knuckle moments, like the time I came over the hill to find a tow truck pulling a semi out of the ditch. And I have been known to haul a peanut butter samich in my truck too. lol
