In your families Case dealership did you ever sale one of these?VC case made for only two years,1941 &1942.

Powered by a F128 Flathead Continental engine(128 cubic inches displacement). The rear end did not use the bull gears like the VAC but a Clark rear end.

I restored it but my son-in-law has it now as I am to old to load and tie down 4 times day for shows any more.

I do not know hwo many Dad sold. only a couple I believe, from what he has said. Those were war year tractors and it was very hard to get any tractors for retail sales, especially here in the NE. Dad told of unloading a one or two tractors off a rail car, and by the time he arived home he had a line of farmers and "black marketeers" folowing him in the yard. Case had a policy back then if a Case tractor showed up on the black market, the dealer who received it could loose his franchise. He was very careful that when he sold a tractor, he delivered it to a working farm, and all the paperwork was sent back to the Main Office in Racine. He has said that he could have doubled his money selling to the BMs but he was an honset man.
There is a VAI still owned locally that he sold.

I have a VCthat I bought in 1980 when I was 11 years old. I took the kids for a sled ride behind my VAC this afternoon.

The BM lasted into the late 40's. Dad and myself bought a 1947 LA and a 1947 VAI..At a fram sale. The farmer Both from BM. they had the ser. number ground off the block . We used sulfuric acid on the block and the ser. number came out. so we than knew they were 47 models.
