$22 an hour is way to cheap no wonder he is busy!
I charge $45 an hour and can't make it pay now. By the time I put my costs in for my other monthly expenses to live, and all the messing around you do for free on jobs like ordering parts and phoning around different guys. Also fuel/ truck running costs to go look at jobs ya never seem to get. I kinda think I got a few cheap a$$ guys that only want to know whats wrong and what i think it would cost to do so they can fix it with there buddies cheap, and get my experience for nothing.
I also farm too so have been cutting down on a few of my nothing customers. It's amazing how much that improves time consumption and the losses a guy takes in a month.
