Love it. I'll let these soak in a while. I've got a bunch from a 54 Farm Journal that I'll post later this afternoon.

When you scanned those, did they come through as a PDF file? Mine do. I have to fit every one to the screen, then use the Snipping Tool to change them to jpeg and name every one to get them in to a form that I can post. A real pain in the neck.

al1933---Just a couple comments----I had an older brother as a model, driving a Studebaker truck in the late 40's---actual picture intended for advertising purposes. I don't have that pic, but his son has it. About that same period of time, I remember riding with him as he was hauling a Caterpillar on a "low-boy", pulled by an Autocar tractor. If I remember right, that truck had only FIVE speeds. But it had a LOT of torque at low rpm's.

In 1959 Dad was going to buy me a school car. 1949 Ford. Dealer let us try it for a few days, but the next morning it was cold and won't start. The oil was real thick. Dad changed it and the engine had a bad knock. Ended up with a 1954 Ford mainliner. Love these old ads.

I bought a '47 Chev. truck like that once too. Was young and stupid. 90 wt oil and sawdust. I have been an oil nut most of my life so first thing I did when I got home was to change out all that black goo and put in some fresh oil...........you would have sworn I was a mosquito spray rig for all the smoke that came from that thing.

Oh, really neat. All are nice - but I like the old Firestone tire treads and the Ford car ad.

Now I want to buy an old magazine too! I think it is time for spring to come - need to get outside and keep busy so I don't want to buy stuff.

I also like the Firestone advert as I have a pair of those rear tyres on my original unrestored Farmall H . MJ
