You've probably said in earlier threads, but where are these
logs coming from? Not much timber in your area, is there?

Thanks,
Glenn F.

here is actually alot of timber up here in the north.

Hi Lyle, Great to see that you are making boards to build more houses. Wish I had some of your energy. Nice to see you have the "old beast" in action. Cheers, Murray

Who's buying your lumber, and for what purpose? I don't recall hearing you have a planer, so I assume you're selling it rough.

ep, I also have a big lumber planer, bought it this summer. I dont know who is gonna buy the lumber but Im sure it will sell

Lyle, this is totally unrelated, but it appears by the electric wires coming in to your place that you are on single phase with two wires, a hot and a neutral. In Saskatchewan the single phase overhead wires in the part of the country I was in only have a hot with no neutral. It kinda threw me off the first time I was in that country and saw those high lines with only one wire. Jim

What type of wood are you doing...pine, oak? And excuse my lack of knowledge on sawmills, but what is the caterpillar doing in there? By the looks of the exhaust it looks permanent. Is it pulling the saw?

Lyle,
Looks like you have been very busy! Haven't heard from you in awhile, was gettin' worried maybe the abomidable snowman got you. LOL Glad to see you having success with the new saw mill.

You have bought an entire saw mill, built the building for it, added the dozer for power, plus the combine you had at first, AND are now producing rough sawn lumber for sale.

During this entire time I havent been able to finish a 14 ft tall by 16 ft wide wall with insulation. I feel real lazy. But actually its the 150 things on the list before I get to the wall.
