I scanned the 1972 Oliver full line catalog today. There were something like 42 pictures. I'm not going to try to post all of them at once,I'll spread them out over a few days.
I'll start with some of the smaller stuff and work up.

I sure miss those full line catalogs. I remember spending hours looking at those when I was a kid in the early 1970's. Especially when the snow and cold weather was going on. I think right after the one you are showing the next catalog had red plows and a few MM tractors in it as part of the phase-in to White if my memory is accurate. Dad used to get the John Deere full line catalog too and I wore that out as well. Dad did a fair amount of business with the local IH dealer but don't remember hardly any catalogs coming. I think IH put those out till the merger and I think Case IH sent them out for a while. Maybe in a few years I can start scratching my itch for those plus replace the ones that were tossed because I wore them out.

This one has some Moline tractors in it too. I'll post those with the bigger tractors. I had a 65 Full Line Catalog too, along with literature from every company about that time,Deere,IH,Case,Moline, even the new kids on the block David Brown. It was all in a box but somebody must have cleaned house years ago (I'm guessing my Mother and sisters) and it all got tossed.
I got this one and a little bit of White literature from an old neighbor a few years ago after his auction. That's his name on the scan of the back cover.

I think I wanted the 1555 as much as anything in the catalog when I was a kid. The picture I recall had it pulling a plow. I remember a couple of the plow pics and picker pics that you are showing.
I think now that I have had a few minutes to think about the IH catalogs only showed up when IH changed the row crop tractor line over to a new series. I might still have the 1977 catalog that shows the 86 series and Axial-Flow Combines.

The one that I really wish I could find that I had was the 1965 Oliver Industrial line catalog. Had the crawlers and Mighty Tow industrial tractors. That one would be about impossible to find today.

Keep watching. I'll post the rest over the next few nights. They go all the way up to the articulated four wheel drive, the self propelled forage harvesters and even a cotton harvester.

I have that same brochure, I like the g1350 and g950 MM in there, like the Oliver's to, but I'm more of the Minneapolis moline guy.

When I was growing up in the 50s Dad subscribed to the Farm Journal, and Progressive Farmer magazines. Every issue I would read and re-read the tractor and equipment ads. I spent more time looking at them than I did the Sears, Roebuck catalog! Thanks for the post!

Ya, its a neat one to look at, my dad gave me all his old Oliver and mm, and white brochures, I have a stack that's probebly four feet tall, think there's everyone from 1960-1988 or so about every model, I don't have as many mm as Oliver and white

Very nice. Does it include a 2655? True they weren't the best tractor ever made. Had their problems, even under powered. But, in a way for the overall picture, they were a prototype of what others have perfected today, in my opinion. They deserve a special place in tractor history.

Thanks for sharing.
