30 degrees at my house this morning with a little frost on the ground. Coldest it's been all winter going to warm back up quickly. Should be close to 80 by the middle of the week. Will be great weather for the Florida FLywheelers show this week.IH tractors are the feature should be a good turnout. We had over a hundred Ford's last year will see if the red guys can beat that. Luckily I live only 30 minutes from the show grounds so I'm back home every night. Sure going spend a lot on gas this week at 3.80 a gallon going back at forth.especially bringing 4 tractors back

Stop by my IHC Charging Seminar 10 AM Thursday in Gauses IHC Bldg n say HOWDY. Supposed to be 70 n 80 all week great for camping, we stay all week

Guy's I'm not complaining. I don't want to trade with you. We have had one of the warmest winters down here in years. I been able to work in my shop every afternoon in short sleeves.but we are also way behind on rain. I get a lot more tractor work done in the winter than I do in the summer down here it's just to hot and humid in July and August to do much. Don't own a snow shovel and don't want one. Come down and see us next winter you will like down here this time of year.

It was 8 here this morning, with a strong wind,,wind chill is around -11 below zero, or so accua weather showed.

Was 47 here in SD yesterday but temp is falling to -2 tonight with 20-30 mph NW winds for a windchill of -25-30 for the next 2 days. Hi tomorrow of 8. Enjoy your 30 degrees. Snow storm for Thursday.

I don't think 30 for a short time does much damage to citrus.

But am sad to report that for the 112th consecutive year (since they began keeping records), the citrus crop in South Dakota has been completely wiped out.

BREEZY HERE IN NE SOUTH DAKOTA,20 TO25 MPH.SNOW BLOWING,14DEGREES. TOMORROW FORECAST HIGH OF 0. I DON'T CARE I'M LEAVING FOR FLORIDA IN AM.WHATS GOOD TO SEE AT FLYWHEELERS SHOW, OR IN THAT AREA.THANKS,ALAN.

The show runs through Saturday. I just got back from there a few minutes ago and a lot of people already there. Went to get one of my 8 n out of the trailer and broke the starter drive now I'm looking for parts in my shop. Don't no how long you plan on being down but you will find plenty to do I'm sure.I'm the worst possible person to ask about things to do here in Florida if it doesn't have something to do with my tractors, hunting or fishing I avoid it at all costs. The only reason I go to Orlando is Bass Pro shop is there

Its got to stay below freezing for quiet a few hours to hurt the fruit already on the trees. What the growers are worried about is that the trees are already blooming and have been for a few weeks. A freeze or a really heavy frost will hurt the bloom and next years crop. Lots of peaches and blueberry's being grown around here now the bloom on them will be hurt badly by a heavy frost.I saw a lot of irrigation running this morning to bring the air temperature up and to keep the frost off of the plants. Strawberry crops about over with so I doubt they got hurt at all. Strawberry's down to $6.00 a flat in the field. Grower's not making any money at that price a lot have already turned their fields over to you pick.

Hope we have a good turnout to hear John T's presentation. We'll have some coffee and snacks
on hand.I took my tractors up (from Sebring) this morning and will take some "props" for John
T tomorrow.

I just finished reading "61 Hours, a Jack Reacher novel. It was set in S. Dakota in mid-winter. I've never been so cold in my life.

No not this time. Went over to my father's yesterday and got the Funk 6 out and took it down.Already had two tractors there.Try not to take more than I can get back home in two trips. Took 8 down last year for the Ford show took me two days to get them back home. Need to do a little work on the 4000 rear main has started to leak a little. The bottom end has never been apart .I will probably pull the pan and take a look at the bearings soon
