PTO tree saw (Picture of the saw)

Here is a picture of the pto tree saw that I mentioned yesterday, anyone know the brand or ever seen one like it? What horsepower do you think is needed to use it?

Try looking at the Turbo Saw website. They make a tractor saw and give pretty good description of it. I have never seen one myself though so I can't tell you how good they are. I'd post a link but don't know how to.

I have one that mounts on my skid loader, it's a hicks built saw built by a local man. It doesn't run that fast, perhaps since my loader is a standard flow and not a high flow. It will cut a lot of trees 4-6" in a hurry. I don't think much power is needed for the saws, just take your time and let it eat, don't try raising the lift to break off the stump. That is why I own the saw, previous owner knocked the bearings and seals out of the motor. I bought it cheap and ended up with a new motor since the seals wouldn't hold in the old one.
