Ford regains swagger

Had a problem last week getting my Ford F150 (two drive with locking rear end) getting hung up in snow and had to have it pulled out by a Chevy with 4Wd. It seemed to have lost its pep until it saw a Chevy broke down on the road. It got its swagger back and now runs good.

Funny how seeing a broke down Chevy can make a ford run scared.

Yeah, don't worry about it, we all have a bad day now and then.
When my son was in his teens he was (and still is) a dyed in the wool Dodge man. He wore a cap with Dodge on it, a coat with Dodge on it, etc. Someone asked him one day, "If you're such a Dodge fan, why do you drive a Ford product?" ('71 Maverick Grabber)
Cam answered, "Well, sometimes you just have to settle for second best!" Wish I still had that Grabber.

Wish I had a camera. Friend just bought a new Dodge. Few days later I saw and old Ford with a New Dodge in tow. Immediately thought of my friend. Had to tell him what I saw. We had a good laugh.

Brother and my self were delivering a gilt to a breeder. We stopped at the gate because the pen was realy muddy. When we entered the barn the man pointed to a doorway and said "just back up to that door". Brother said he was uneasy about getting through the mud. Man asked what we were driving. Brother said"half ton two wheel drive ford pick-up towing a 2 little wheel trailer". "Oh yea,you would never make it,it sounded like a Chevrolet coming in,I will pull her in with my tractor".
We still don't know why he didn't use his Chevy.

Driving down a back road near home last summer in my Super Duty 6.0 Power Stroke, I came upon a Chevy PU stuck because he had backed too close to the little foreign mini van that he was trying to help out, and had one rear tire almost off the ground. I told them "Don't worry I'll be right back with a chain". So I got back and hooked to the Chevy, and pulled them both out at the same time without stepping on the gas. The mini van left a major rut in the ditch because the kid left it in park.

They say 83% of Ford trucks built in the last 20 years are still on the road.

If there were more wreckers, they'd be able to get most of 'em off the roads.

Hadn't thought about Maverick Grabbers in years.

Wife's cousin, who hasn't got the sense God gave a goose, was real proud of his new camping setup- a little vacation trailer behind a Maverick Grabber, on a bumper hitch with a little bitty ball, no weight transfer on the hitch. Tongue weight was almost making the back of the car scrape the ground. Electric hookup was wires twisted together, and short enough that the whole thing was going to come apart on the first sharp turn.

If I was to give a critique, I didn't even know where to start. Plus I'd never liked the guy much to start with. So I just smiled and said "That looks real nice, there, Jeff. Have fun on your trip."
