For several years now I have been swimming laps most days, during winter. Since doing so, for me colds have been almost non existent, because I think, of the deep breathing it forces me to do. Likely many on here would not find it convenient to swim so often but some kind of exercise to get the beneficial breathing should be available to most. Google: "deep breathing benefits".

| You are right on exercise and deep breathing, I noticed similar results a few years ago when I started walking
