Install radiant floor heat and set a towel down on it. LOL our cats and dog all like the floor where it is.

My cats heat their own bed, outside in the barn. If one cat isn"t enough, then they pile on more cats.

I just put a piece of styrofoam down somewhere they hang out,barn window sill usually and they set on that and it feels warm instantley from their own body heat.

Our cat heater is made by K&H, it looks like this is the same model. We've had it for at least eight years with no problems.
We actually bought a small one for the cats and a medium-sized one for the dog. The dog refused to use her pad, so the cats ended up using it.

We have a giant one, known as a king-sized waterbed. The colder the night, the more cats on it up to the total of six. Fortunately they prefer my wife's side.
