case 207 rod through the block!!

my 188 in my 450 puts out better than 60hp now, the 207 in my 580 is set about the same, if you turbo one 70-80hp is possible,, the 188's were 40-60 hp depending on fuel delivery and rpm settings

if you have any good used 207 sleeves when you are done I would be interested in buying them from you. Those other guys don't seem to have anything else to do, I wouldn't doubt that they have already reported it.

Don't feel bad, I was chastized a couple months back for referring to the smell of (slurry ----) with the same response.
Bring your questions over to the Case forum, and they will get answered regardless of your handle.

You can not make a 207 with a 188 block. The difference, at least one of the differences, is the stroke. You will notice on your 207 block that the side of the block is bulged out to make room for the rods/crank to clear.
The 188 block does not have them so no room for the 207 crank to clear. If I remember right you can use a 207 block for a 188 but not the other way around. Its been a long time but thats the way I remember it.

I'm no mechanic, so I can't really help answer your questions. I am a bit of a Case guy though, and I can tell you that you can find all the helpful advice you need over at the Case forum. I've learned a lot from the guys over there.

I did a bad,
Did some checking and the 188 and 207 did not have a different stroke.
So, the block difference must have been to accommodate larger rod journals. Does anyone know?
sorry.
Dennis

Have you checked to see if can be repaired? Worked a dealer that had a 426 allis throw a rod through the block and they sent it Nevada Iowa and had it repaired.
