Yesterday morning before Justin and I took off to get his tractor my friend, Matt, came out with his 3 kids to see the animals and spend the morning with me on the farm. We had a blast, the kids loved the dogs and calves and while I was loading some hay I sold, Dad drove them around on the 4 wheeler. Then we grilled some hotdogs and had rootbeer. I had just as much fun as they did.

Funny story, "Al" her nickname, was walking around his her boots on the wrong feet, I said, hey silly your shoes are on the wrong feet. She sat down and took them off, then put them back on the wrong feet. Then jumped up and took off. I couldn't help but laugh.

That is some priceless time spent, they grow up so fast. My daughter is 20 now,she used to love going to the farm with me,not so much anymore,I sure miss those days!

I have a group of girls - 8 to 10yrs who are in my 4-H club. They come over for the meeting, and end up helping me with the rabbit chores Almost a hundred rabbits, so it takes a while... They have a ball, I enjoy yher company, and it takes longer to get the chores done, than when I do it by myself!

Looks good. I always enjoy having young kids over that seem to take an interest in the farm stuff. Friends will call and ask if they can bring their kids or their friends kids out and I always welcome them as I think its a great thing for kids to get to see.

A friend of mine has two foreign exchange students for the year, one from china, the other from Brazil. He brought them out a few weeks ago. I took them sledding behind a tractor and we got out my o9ld military Jeep for a ride in the woods. They had a BLAST and I think they'll remember it for a long time.

I bought a Jeep in Tennessee that kinda ran, been horribly butchered up, along with a trailer load of spare parts. Then I started restoring. It's not the same frame and body I started with, along with a whole bunch of other parts. Fortunately military jeep parts are not too hard to find. It's the same process as restoring tractors, take it all apart, put it all back together, repairing & replacing as you go. Took three years, but it's been my daily summer driver for 10 years and 15,000 miles. Had a whole lot of fun with it, a real head turner.
