power steering

I am trying to install power steering on my Dad's Farmall M. We have the power steering unit and we're trying to rig up a pump on the front. I have been told that some car pumps can be adapted to the M. Does anyone know what models will work? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have Char Lynn steering on mine. I could have sworn someone once said it was the same pump that they put on Ford Galexy cars. Someone will come along and verify.

I have Char-Lynn units on 3 old Masseys and use Chevy PS pumps, works good. I think about any automotive pump would work ok. I have used automotive pumps to lift snow plows, and run home made bead breakers etc they have build in relief and work good.

Char-Lynn is a division of Eaton. Eaton builds
automotive power steering pumps, but I've mostly
seen them on older Chryslers, DeSoto's.
