Don't know where it is but I would guess on one of those God-for-saken Islands in the Pacific.
I can even keep this tractor related; my Wife's uncle who just died this past fall was a Seabee on Guam during WW-II and operated a large dozer (Allis-Chalmers, I think) building and repairing bombed up landing strips. For awhile he was ordered to sleep with the dozer and his rifle at night.
We must never forget any of these guys for what they did for us and all the free world.
Truly the Greatest Generation!!

There is a movie called no man is an island. It is based on a true story of Guam during WWII. Looks like we held Guam from august of 44 to present. That movie is a good movie, I bought my copy from Deep Discount DVD.

Battle of Guam may refer to:
The Battle of Guam (1941), a World War II battle in which Japanese forces took the island from the Americans in December 1941
The Battle of Guam (1944), a World War II battle in which two American divisions fought for a month to retake the island from the Japanese

The Second Battle of Guam (July 21 August 10, 1944) was the American capture of the Japanese held island of Guam, a United States territory (in the Mariana Islands) during the Pacific campaign of World War II.
