The view from behind. This is the dump bed of a mining truck being hauled up a state highway this morning (Ohio st rt 13). The second is more of the truck being moved that I saw in the early afternoon. There were 4 or 5 state troopers in front and one behind.

oh-yea,, that a big momma,, looks like they almost need training wheels on each side of the dump box, in case it leans too far on a corner turn...lol

Here's one we came up on on interstate 90 west of Gillette, WY last year...about 15 minutes at 40 mph before we could get around him. Here the car in front of us just went around it and I am about to take the plunge...

At least most of your roads can handle loads like that...our roads
are much narrower and have to be closed. Makes the Volvo look
like a toy!

We move heavy equipment with two rigs and the Cat 777 with a weight of around 132,000 can be moved with the bed on if the roads will handle the weight and 17 ft wide. In comparison the new 797 weighs in at something around 540,000 lb no load. I know the bed is 30 ft wide. Most of those are moved in to the site in about 4 or 5 loads and pretty much stat there for their life. This heavy hauling has really cam a long way in my life. Things like a D9 that we thought was a load 20 years ago are almost routine now.

No, it was about 100 miles south between New Lexington and Somerset. New Lex has coal mines, so that was the origination, but not sure of the destination. The truck was headed toward zanesville.
