I thought my story was interesting and it takes Me a long time to write. "Rusty" My brother's 3020 bought from a construction co. that used it to power a pto pump. Dam broke and tractor ended up under water. Mechanic messed up motor fixing it. My brother bought it after years of sitting to use it as a garden tractor. Rebuilt motor, new tires and used it for a couple of years around his house no problem. We carried it the farm 50 miles away where the big tractors stay. We used it to pull the corn picker. I have never seen a happier tractor always cranked right up never missed a beat. Till we tried to take it home then it would not start or had a flat tire or both. Every time we could not get it home My brother would borrow My Ford. Finally we gave up and I sold him my Ford and the 3020 is still at the farm runs great and not had a flat tire since. My WD45 is the most powerful beast that I have, and only when plowing,or discing can I apreciate it.It ok for skidding my 3 16'x8' hog sheds, which the B can;t do, but it doesnt act like a tractor should on other stuff.It has loaded tires and a very strong 3 pt hitch, but is useless on most loader work, I have to carry a 8' tandem disk on the 3 pt, to keep from spinning with the loader on, and that just helps some, but doesn't stop it.My Allis B, on the other hand,does'nt just do it's job, but excels in every thing it is put to. The B will pull the 8' disk, with 2 sections of spike tooth harrow. behind, thru plowed ground, and is sometimes on the verge of spinning out, but gets ahold and keeps on going.Yes I do have calcium in the rears, and front tires. and 200 lb's of weights on the nose. The little tractor picks up large round bales on a 3 pt bale spear, and feeds the cattle daily. Sometimes I have to back up a hill, to get a bale delivered. The B always starts in any weather, and wears a modern hydraulic system, with the pump on the front. With it's back blade, and back scoop, and a 20' log chain, it landscaped this place in 2000, and jerked small locust trees out by the roots, with the front wheels at the 2:00 position. I just naturaly go to it first, when I have something to do. It reminds me of the story of the little engine that could! [Reply]  [No Email]
