See link below for accident near me. From the looks of the pic it could have been much worse. Other driver crossed center line and hit bus head on.
Cell phone/ texting comes to mind but I'm just speculating. Close knit community here with a small school district. Wont mention any names specifically but we are praying for all of them.

Reguarding having to go to the bathroom. I slide down a hill on the ice last winter with the bus and was stuck between two hills. I can barely go an hour without haveing to use the bathroom. While we waited for help, I pulled the key and took a little walk up the hill into the woods. I told the kids my cell phone wouldn't work and had to get to higher ground to get reception.

Kinda something, read the article and never saw mention of what state. Ohio? There's an Adams Co. and Hanover in Ohio.

Me wife put a loaded bus into a ditch on icy roads once. She said afterward she thought it was going to go over, but it didn't.

She called for help on the radio, and about then one of the kids yelled that they had to go to the bathroom.

My wife said, "So do I!"
