Nice photos. If you want some help with the blurry ones, the cameras with automatic stabilization help a lot and are now pretty cheap. It also helps to look through the eyepiece rather than the screen at arm's length if you can. Keep shooting, we all like pictures!

Looks like that guy in the butter sculpture was a whizzin on a spruce tree!

I want to thank you oh so very much. It made me feel like I didn't miss out entirely on being at the farmshow this year. I go most every year but a lingering illness kept me away this year. Thanks again.

I want to know what they do with all the butter once they are done with the 'sculpture'. The fair up here had a full size cow carved out of butter.... must have weighed almost as much as a real cow.... put it all back into little tubs and sell it? Gross. Dump it down the kitchen sink? Won't do that twice! But a plumber would get a day's work out of it...

I have found that a one legged pod (or tripod but more clumsy) works for me in less than direct sun. I also have a tiny tripod that is about 5 inches tall that works wonders for holding still. When I was 20 I could hand hold my camera very still, but not today at 63.95. Jim

We use to go that Farm Show every year. We took our daughter to show her the cow milking. Hard to see everything in one day. We usually tried to go when there was no snow forecasted. Hal

Did you try any apples? The coop my wife works for had a display of some good eats (fresh apples and sauce) with free samples. They were next to the butter sculpture.

Looks like a great show. The St. Louis Fam Show has expired. Not enough farmers and crossing the bridges with big machinery isn't feasible for the little crowd it drew in its last years.

larry@stines,

Looks like an amazing show. Love the old blue truck surrounded by produce. Butter sculptures are awesome.

What is the umpainted tractor with the funnel shaped exhaust (just before the Waterloo Boy)?

Do they judge the canning like at a fair?

It is a newer built 1/2 scale steam traction engine. Got a glance at it when I was there Wednesday.

Larry@stines,
Now I would not be opposed to a John Deere mower... only the color. LOL!

I would like it better if it was green or rusty. Just not a pink kind of person.
